About Alex Neilan

Alex Neilan is a dietitian, nutritionist and health expert, and the founder of weight loss coaching business Sustainable Change.

For nearly a decade, Alex has dedicated his career to helping people - particularly women over 50 - achieve healthier, stronger, more confident lives through changes that last.

In a world full of quick fixes, supplements, and short-term programmes, Alex’s approach is different. His philosophy is simple: health transformations only matter if you can sustain them in the long-term.

A Mission for Lasting Health

Alex’s vision is bold: to help one million people live longer, healthier, and happier lives. At the core of this mission are four guiding values:

  • Sustainability - Building lifelong results, not temporary wins

  • Overdelivering - Always giving more than expected.

  • Instilling belief - Helping people put themselves first, often for the first time in decades.

  • Care - Because health is personal, and it deserves compassion.

Through his programmes, Alex has built an online community of more than 90,000, and worked directly with more than 4,500 women in their journey towards sustainable weight loss.

His approach has freed thousands from the cycle of yo-yo dieting and helped them build confidence, mobility, and energy well into their 50s, 60s, and beyond.

Beyond Nutrition

Alex’s leadership of Sustainable Change isn’t only about health - it’s about community.

Under his leadership, the organisation has raised six-figure sums for charity and provided support to women navigating challenges such as menopause, arthritis, depression, and even cancer.

On a personal note, Alex’s greatest inspiration is his young daughter. She fuels his determination to model resilience, self-care, and kindness—and to leave a legacy of helping others live their healthiest lives.
